Analysis of Management Reports submitted for the year of 2017
According to the law on "Accounting, Reporting and Auditing", since 2018 certain companies have been obliged to prepare and publicize management reports together with financial reports.
The aim of the research is:
1. Determining the level of compliance of submitted management reports with the Law.
2. Qualitative assessment of management reports according to the recommendations of Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision and international best practices.
For the year of 2017, 517 annual reports (financial and management) have been submitted at the portal of Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision.
Among the main findings of the research is that information provided in most management reports is general, does not have enough details and can be used to describe any other subject's activity. The information is inaccurate and it is difficult to make conclusions concerning concrete issues.
